Analytical Services, Inc. (ASI) serves the wastewater market by providing testing, research and consulting services regarding pathogens and indicator species. We are committed to applying science in the best interests of public health.

  • Wastewater Monitoring – ASI has provided testing for protozoa and viruses in wastewater as part of efforts to safeguard receiving waters.
  • Reclaimed Water (DPR/IPR) – ASI provides monitoring services for reclaimed water, including Cryptosporidium / Giardia (EPA 1693 and 1623.1) and virus testing (EPA 1615 plus adenoviruses), for clients throughout the U.S. In addition, ASI provides laboratory support for Reclaimed Water Pilot Testing - (62-610.564, F.A.C.) for enteroviruses, Cryptosporidium, Giardia and helminthes.
  • Agricultural Runoff – ASI provided laboratory services to assess microbiological issues associated with agricultural practices.  One such project was a USDA sponsored study to assess Cryptosporidium, Giardia, Salmonella, E. coli, E. coli O157, etc. in manure, sediment and agricultural runoff.
  • Urban Waterway Pathogens – ASI received and analyzed harbor water, Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) water, canal water and sediment samples for pathogens and indicator species (protozoa, viruses and bacteria) from a number of urban sites.  Some of these projects have been under the auspices of the EPA Superfund program, while others were associated with the Clean Water Act and treatment of stormwater.

Reclaimed Water Services

The state of Florida, among others, has regulatory requirements that govern monitoring of reclaimed wastewater for Direct Potable Reuse (DPR), Indirect Potable Reuse (IPR) and othe ruses.  ASI is fully equipped and prepared to help utilities meets their monitoring needs.
